Alice Chin is the Founder and CEO of Your Other Half. Her approach to designing systems for people, by people, is the backbone of Your Other Half’s services.

A daughter of two entrepreneurs, Alice knows the small business owner’s struggle in her bones. As a child, she spent her afternoons working the register at her father’s restaurant and grading papers at her mother’s tutoring business.

Alice’s interdisciplinary approach to HR and recruiting is informed by her studies at Barnard and eight years of professional experience improving business and people operations. After building her human resources foundation in roles at Allen & Overy and Newsweek, she consulted for IDEO, Miami Ad School, Hard Candy Shell, and Institute of Play, where she expanded her operations and people management skills (and learned what doesn’t work!).

In 2014, Alice launched Your Other Half to give small business leaders the same level of expertise available to large corporations, tailored to the particular needs of small businesses and their committed leaders.

In the years since Your Other Half’s founding, our team has grown significantly and currently brings over 75 years of HR expertise to benefit our clients. We’ve added capacity around client services, and we’ve launched a client success team with expertise in HR compliance, employee engagement, and behavioral social science research.
